Had this book for a long time, then gave it away, now preparing for a course and having to do some preparatory work:

How To Be A Productivity MACHINE!—The Power of Habit

habit #1: be pro-active – focus on what you can control
eg. how can I improve x
– how much hard-work and dedication comes from being pro-active
this explains why so many choose reactive route because it is so easy to be reactive and just complain, reactive people just react to external events

proactive people use their reactive instincts to motivate them

habit #2: what do i have to say about myself?
how do you want to be remembered?
are you choosing and doing things which allow you or others to say that or are you for example, scared of failure and choosing comfortable mediocrity instead, this one is:
begin with the end in mind

habit #3: there is a disconnect between what we say and how we allocate our time

this is the most important and simple:
put first things first

don’t be so stingy with your money, be stingy with your time, because you time is a finite resource for you

habit #4: stop thinking of things as a zero-sum game, for you to win, others have to lose, but this is not life and does not lead to success, so:
choose win-win

win-lose situations are lose-lose situations really, eg. you dont get a good result if you short-change people and people will realise that

habit #5: seek first to understand, then to be understood
try and use every day, note comments and progress

habit #6: synergise with like-minded people
2 heads are better than one

habit #7: sharpen the saw
practice the techniques and spend time improving yourself
always becoming a better person than you were yesterday
